Abstract

A 75-year-old woman was referred for an incidental 5.0-cm liver mass in segment VIII discovered on a chest computed tomography scan. She had no history of viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, or alcohol abuse. Liver function tests and serum alpha-fetoprotein levels were within normal limits, while carbohydrate antigens 19–9 (51.68 U/mL) and 724 (10.93 U/mL) were mildly elevated.
