All human endeavour aspires to maximise outcomes while utilising minimal resources, particularly as even the most vital element, water, is becoming increasingly scarce. Sustainability and resilience are no longer mere buzzwords, but essential practices that must be ingrained as routines for our sustenance. This study explore the integration of water-sensitive trategies into public space planning, extending beyond basic conservation. It examines smart water urbanism through global case studies, highlighting adaptive, inclusive, and ecologically responsive designs. The research demonstrates how water-smart strategies can be effectively contextualised to reinforce the identity, functionality, and inclusivity of public space, while urging all stakeholders to co-create highly resilient urban environments.
