Within the field of dermatology, dermatological conditions and skin care practices vary widely across patients with different skin tones. Therefore, this article focuses on the cultural beliefs and practices related to skincare among individuals with skin of colour, the challenges they face and the importance of healthcare professionals having the awareness, understanding and ability to recognise the issues they might come across in clinical practice.
