This Special Issue on Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship was conceived in response to a long-lasting challenge within this field. Healthcare innovation presents itself as a paradox made up by rigid protocols based on still incomplete knowledge of the body. Yet, this tension conceals deeply synergistic dynamics at its core, which can be fueled through entrepreneurial innovation. In alignment with the mission of the CERN IdeaSquare Journal of Experimental Innovation, it seeks to move beyond reductionist and disciplinary approaches to healthcare innovation.
