ABSTRACT Cervical gliosis is an extremely rare and benign polypoidal lesion characterised by the presence of glial tissue within the endocervical stroma. We report the case of a 46-year-old female diagnosed with uterine fibroids on imaging, who underwent hysterectomy and was incidentally found to have a glial-rich endocervical polyp. Histopathological examination revealed the nodules of fibrillary spindle cells characteristic of glial tissue. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for glial fibrillary acidic protein showed diffuse strong positivity, confirming the glial origin. This case underscores the importance of recognising rare benign lesions and validating them with IHC to avoid misdiagnosis and unnecessary intervention.
