Abstract This paper examines the two-dimensional flow of Williamson nanofluid upon a nonlinear stretching surface with the impact of MHD and porosity. Heat source, viscous dissipation, and thermal radiation influences are studied. Also, the impact of Brownian diffusion, Thermophoresis and activation energy attributes are considered. To solve the current problem, the pertinent partial differential equations are transformed into a set of non-linear ordinary differential equations by utilising the suitable similarity transformations available. Utilising the Keller-Box approach, the equations that were produced are solved. The results reveal that the magnetic parameter, porosity and Williamson parameter suppress velocity. Additionally, the radiation, magnetic, Eckert number, and porosity parameters will enhance thermal energy, while the Brownian motion shows the inverse tendency. Also, the concentration profile decreases in the case of the Magnetic parameter, Schmidt number. Also, the local parameters Nusselt number and Sherwood numbers are calculated for different values of the parameters. A comparative study of Skin friction number values is conducted for enhanced values of the Magnetic parameter. The current results are fairly in agreement with previous results.
