Abstract

Continuity in extended inference presents itself less as a technical construct than as a conceptual motif that shapes how representational behaviour appears to unfold over time. This paper develops a silhouette‑level account of that motif, tracing the gentle bounds, thematic trajectories, and region‑like coherences that seem to govern long‑range interaction when viewed from a suitably elevated vantage. The discussion draws upon interpretive traditions concerned with experiential flow and emergent order, yet remains deliberately independent of mechanisms, architectures, or operational commitments. Its purpose is to articulate the structural intuitions that render continuity intelligible while preserving a clear boundary between conceptual framing and any protected technical substrate that may exist elsewhere. A brief note in Section 7 situates the present account within its broader research context. The result is an interpretive scaffold—modest in scope, but sufficient to clarify how long‑range coherence may be discussed without presuming the machinery that, in other settings, might be required to sustain it.
