The present work investigated the influence of fabrication-induced uncertainties on the mechanical performance of previously developed biocomposites composed of banana peel powder (BPP) and poly lactic acid (PLA) fabricated by employing 3D printing technique. The different composite samples with varying BPP weight fractions of 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 (wt.%) were evaluated for key properties, including density, Shore D hardness, compressive strength, flexural strength, tensile strength by following the standardized testing procedures. Recognizing the variability inherent in the fabrication process, Monte Carlo Simulations coupled with Finite element modelling (FEM) were employed to assess the probabilistic behaviour of these properties. The simulation outcomes have demonstrated a strong agreement with experimental data and effectively captured the trends associated with varying filler content. The results provided a deeper insight into how uncertainties in material composition and processing which affect the performance of biocomposites, highlighting the importance of probabilistic modelling in predicting and optimizing the behaviour of sustainable biocomposites.
