Objectives: We explored the associations between student-athletes’ self-report compensation package and their compensation package satisfaction. Secondly, we completed exploratory analysis on perceived stress, culture of risk, high- vs. low- revenue sport status, and healthcare frequency relative to study outcomes of interest. Participants: 80 student-athletes between 18-26 from a single institution. Methods: We measured self-report compensation, compensation package satisfaction, perceived stress, culture of risk, and healthcare frequency. Results: We found no association between self-report compensation and attitudes towards healthcare seeking behaviors (r = 0.148, p = .189). However, there was a significant association between compensation package satisfaction and attitudes towards healthcare seeking behaviors (r = 0.239, p = .033). Conclusion: Results suggest that new policies to the NCAA, such as NIL and revenue sharing may be associated with student-athletes’ attitudes towards healthcare.
