This study examines how social media influencers affect advertising revenue in traditional print media, particularly in the context of changing consumer behavior and digital communication trends. The research focuses on the growing preference for influencer marketing over print advertising as advertisers increasingly adopt interactive and targeted digital strategies. Using a survey method, data was collected from 324 respondents in Enugu North Local Government Area, Nigeria, to evaluate their social media usage, exposure to influencer advertisements, and perceptions of the effectiveness of influencer marketing compared to print media advertising. Findings showed that most respondents actively use social media daily and are frequently exposed to influencer-promoted advertisements, with many believing that social media has significantly reduced print media advertising revenue. The study identified engagement, interactivity, personalization, and convenience as major reasons advertisers and consumers prefer influencer marketing. Although print media continues to face declining revenue and relevance, the study notes that opportunities still exist through hybrid advertising models that combine traditional print strategies with digital influencer collaborations. The research concludes that print media organizations must adapt to the digital era by integrating innovative marketing approaches to remain competitive and sustainable in the evolving advertising industry.
