This deliverable summarises the capacity building activities (CBAs) carried out within the ZeroW project to strengthen the abilities of stakeholders and consumers to adopt food loss and waste (FLW) innovations. As part of Task 6.2, these activities supported the systemic solutions developed in the Systemic Innovations Living Labs (SILLs) on their path toward near-zero FLW. The selection of CBAs was guided by evidence from SIRL reports, stakeholder workshop insights, and an analysis of each SILL’s innovation context and scaling strategy, while also considering practical aspects such as relevance across regions and resource availability. Following a structured refinement process, a diverse set of activities—including workshops, expert sessions, study visits, and policy-focused initiatives—was implemented to address key challenges and opportunities. Overall, the CBAs strengthened technical, organisational, and systemic innovation capacities, enabling SILLs to better implement and scale their solutions. These efforts play a crucial role in translating innovations into real-world impact and ensuring the long-term sustainability and scalability of ZeroW outcomes.
