ABSTRACT This letter presents a monitor‐probe‐based (MPB) approach for reference acquisition in reference‐value‐based (RVB) non‐retrodirective cross‐eye jamming (NRCJ) on size‐constrained platforms. Unlike conventional RVB implementations, which require auxiliary antennas to obtain reference amplitude‐ratio and phase‐difference (ARPD) values, the proposed approach extracts the reference directly from the transmitted signals using integrated monitor probes. This preserves the established RVB correction procedure while reducing hardware size. Experiments at 8.05 GHz show residual ARPD mismatch below 0.3 dB and 1°, and cross‐eye gain improvement from 4.67 to 32. These results verify that the proposed MPB approach provides compact reference acquisition with calibration performance comparable to antenna‐based RVB schemes.
