Urban vulnerability has traditionally been analysed using socio-economic and residential indicators, while the ecosystem dimension has played a secondary role. In the context of the current ecosocial crisis, this research argues for the need to incorporate this dimension in order to provide a more comprehensive and complex assessment of urban vulnerability. The study is based on the hypothesis that a correlation exists between vulnerable neighbourhoods defined through sociode mographic indicators and access to ecosystem services. As a first approximation, the paper analyses these neighbourhoods in the municipality of Madrid, as delimited by the Ministry of Development, using bioclimatic indicators related to urban density, green factor, and accessibility to green and blue infrastructures.
