The study examined the knowledge, attitude and compliance to Radio Nigeria COVID-19 messages among commercial drivers in Enugu state. The society needs information on healthy lifestyle practices, the mass media help in creating awareness, accelerating information flow, and preventive health measures. During health crisis like outbreak of life-threatening diseases and viruses like Coronavirus, the press gets more attention than they get in every day normal situations. Radio Nigeria dedicated so much time and effort in educating Enugu state residents on COVID-19 through their programmes such as Ka Ohamalu, Radio Link, Media Link, Coal City Breakfast show among others which are aired during weekdays in different languages (English, Pidgin and Igbo). The objectives were to ascertain the level of exposure to Radio Nigeria messages on COVID-19 among commercial drivers in Enugu state; examine the level of knowledge of COVID-19 preventive protocol among commercial drivers in Enugu state as a result of their exposure to radio-based health messages on COVID-19 on Radio Nigeria; determine how radio-based health messages on COVID-19 on Radio Nigeria influenced the attitude of commercial drivers in Enugu state; and find out how radio-based health messages on COVID-19 on Radio Nigeria influenced the practices of commercial drivers in Enugu state towards COVID-19. The study was anchored on the Agenda-setting theory. The researcher employed the survey research method in executing the study. Questionnaire was used as the measuring instrument. Data were analysed using the SPSS and the hypotheses were tested using the Pearson Correlation formula. Findings revealed that radio-based health messages on COVID-19 on Radio Nigeria influenced the attitude of commercial drivers in Enugu state towards COVID-19, as on the average, 49.2% of the commercial drivers in Enugu state were influenced on their attitude towards COVID-19 by radio-based health messages on COVID-19 on Radio Nigeria. The researcher recommended amongst others that Radio Nigeria should feature testimonials from fellow drivers who have tested or been vaccinated to humanize benefits and reduce fear.
