Abstract

Alzheimer’s disease (AD), a growing neurological disorder affecting people over 65, is characterized by senile plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, and amyloid protein deposits. AD is still incurable, despite advancements in treatment; the main focus of contemporary medications is symptom management. N-methyl D-aspartate receptor antagonists and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors are two effective treatments, but they don’t reverse the illness. The blood-brain barrier complicates drug transport and influences its solubility, bioavailability, and efficacy. Novel approaches are provided by recent developments in nanotechnology; several types of nanocarriers are being researched for more precise delivery and better therapeutic results. This study includes clinical research and patents related to the most recent advancements in AD therapy based on nanotechnology.
