The aim of this study is to identify teachers’ attitudes towards gender roles and to determine the effects of personality traits and other variables on these attitudes. This cross-sectional study was conducted with a total of 782 teachers. According to the results of the multiple linear regression analysis, certain personality traits and demographic variables significantly influenced gender role attitudes. As levels of extraversion (β = .435, p=.025), conscientiousness (β = .430, p=.043), and openness (β = .460, p=.015) increased, attitudes toward gender equality became more positive.
