Abstract Under the ontological framework of Order Variation Theory (OVT) and the geometric physical system of the 14-Order Unified Field Theory (14FT), this paper reveals the homologous geometric origin of the fine-structure constant and the plant phyllotactic golden angle . This study verifies that the two characteristic numerical values are not random coincidences, but homologous order-state projections of the 14th-order symmetry rule across two distinct scales: microscopic electromagnetic interaction and mesoscopic spatial arrangement of living organisms. The 137.5° golden angle derives from the optimal arrangement angle formed by the two-dimensional cylindrical unfolding of the three-dimensional close-packing structure of tetrakaidecahedral fundamental units, while the fine-structure constant is deduced from the electromagnetic order-state coupling coefficient generated by left-handed and right-handed vortex charge resonance at the vertices of fundamental units. This conclusion validates the core axiom of OVT that “order is the origin of the universe”, provides critical empirical evidence for the cross-scale unified capability of 14FT, and constructs a unique interdisciplinary empirical barrier that distinguishes 14FT from similar 14-symmetry theories such as Lattice14. From the perspective of first-principle geometric principles, this work solves the century-old fundamental puzzle of the origin of the fine-structure constant and explains the physical inevitability of the plant phyllotactic golden angle.
