Abstract

Power outages GIS data on sub-district units caused by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake were created by using outage history information. The temporal-spatial changes in the number of power outage and power restoration rate at the small-area level were visualized. It was found that the power restoration rate based on the relationship between seismic intensity and the progression of the power outage rate. The results showed that the number of households affected was higher on January 3rd than on January 2nd, the day after the earthquake. This is thought to be due to the identification of outages in Suzu City, located at the tip of the peninsula, where on-site verification was difficult. Furthermore, the daily power restoration rate was estimated to be between 0.57% and 0.82%, with higher restoration rates in January.
