This preprint examines the question of where memory exists in the human brain, challenging classical location-based storage models. Building on the Aura-X Ω framework, the paper argues that memory—particularly emotional or Bold Memory—does not reside in a specific neural location, but emerges as a distributed structural bias shaped by cumulative resonance between neural activity, bodily states, and lived experience. The framework reframes memory as an expression of continuity rather than retrievable storage, with implications for neuroscience, emotional intelligence, psychotherapy, and non-centralized emotional AI architectures.
