The utilisation of technological tools has been demonstrated to have a substantial impact on the academic, cognitive and socio-emotional development of individuals with learning difficulties. However, an analysis of the extant literature reveals geographical imbalances, theoretical fragmentation, and a lack of inclusivity. The present study offers strategic insights for the development of culturally sensitive, interdisciplinary, and globally collaborative research agendas.
