Ecological Homeostasis as a Universal Framework for Systemic Resilience: From Quantum Information to Human Systems

ABSTRACTThis compendium formalizes Ecological Homeostasis (EH) as the fundamental grammar of stability inopen systems. Whether biological, computational, or quantum mechanical, all resilient systems share acommon functional geometry: Homeostasis, Stress and Ambiguity, Saturation and Escalation, andRecovery into a New Configuration. We move beyond rigid protection to metabolic regulation, definingsurvival as a gradient descent on Variational Free Energy. The framework is applied across four criticalcommercial and scientific domains: robotic physical autonomy, cybersecurity and AI safety, humanperformance and bio-stewardship, and quantum information. A unified Stochastic Master Equationserves as the common notation across all domains.
