Efficient logistics processes are critical to modern industrial manufacturing, accounting for a large portion of execution time. This paper presents a real-time monitoring system for tracking logistics equipment and personnel in outdoor industrial environments, leveraging LoRaWAN technology. The system integrates IoT devices, LoRaWAN gateways, and a web-based application for data visualization and analysis. Experimental results from a manufacturing facility demonstrated robust outdoor coverage with a range of up to 6 kilometers and positional accuracy of 6–7 meters using compact IoT devices. Challenges, including positional accuracy limitations and GPS signal degradation in indoor environments, underscore the need for improved localization methods and device optimization. This scalable, reliable solution offers substantial potential to enhance logistics monitoring and operational efficiency, with future work aimed at improving indoor tracking and utilizing advanced data analysis techniques for process optimization.
