Research on carbon disclosure (CD) and corporate value (CV) has expanded rapidly in response to global climate concerns, yet the field remains conceptually scattered and lacks an integrated overview of its development. To address this issue, this study reviews 143 peer-reviewed articles published between 2012 and 2025 and uses CiteSpace to examine publication patterns, collaborative structures, knowledge bases, and thematic movements within the carbon disclosure and corporate value literature. The analysis shows a clear rise in academic interest, with early work centred on regulatory and governance aspects of disclosure, followed by a gradual shift toward value-related outcomes involving financial, social, and environmental performance. Co-citation networks highlight several influential foundations in sustainability accounting and corporate governance, but also reveal persistent gaps between carbon disclosure and corporate value research streams. Keyword evolution further illustrates growing attention to financial performance, investor reactions, and carbon-risk assessment, suggesting that carbon disclosure is increasingly embedded in corporate valuation practices. By combining bibliometric mapping with insights from the triple bottom line and stakeholder perspectives, this study clarifies the intellectual structure of the field and identifies opportunities for more integrated and data-driven research. The review also offers practical guidance for scholars and policymakers seeking to understand or strengthen the link between disclosure practices and corporate value creation.
