We have proposed a Floating Cyber-Physical System (F-CPS) that retains spatio-temporal data (STD) and functions (applications) to utilize the STD directly within a specific area. In F-CPS, collecting STD distribution in the area into the MEC is necessary for the analysis and utilization of comprehensive regional information. However, within an F-CPS composed of various types of devices, not all devices have MEC connectivity. In this study, we propose a data collection method integrated with the STD retention system (STD-RS) and conduct practical verification. Through the experimental result, we confirmed that the proposed method suppresses redundant STD transmission to MEC from other devices, thereby reducing the number of transmissions of the same STD to MEC by 75%.
