This review examines MHPSS interventions delivered in humanitarian settings that incorporate any level of community engagement. Community engagement is defined operationally using the ELRHA Engaging Communities for Health in Humanitarian Action (ELRHA) Toolkit taxonomy, which classifies engagement along a continuum from consultation and information-sharing, to co-production, and full community ownership (ELRHA, 2025). Interventions included in the review may be multi-component and may involve engagement at the design, delivery, or evaluation phases of programming.
