ABSTRACT This study presents the synthesis, characterization, photocatalytic activity, and biological screening of manganese nickel selenide carbon nanotube composites (MnNiSe@CNTs). One‐step hydrothermal method has been utilized for the fabrication of the reported composite. The structural properties of the nanocomposite was investigated using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X‐rays spectroscopy (EDX), UV‐visible spectroscopy, and Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The photocatalytic performance of MnNiSe@CNTs was evaluated by their ability to degrade Remazol red dye under sunlight, demonstrating significant degradation efficiency. Moreover, the nanocomposite exhibited enhanced antibacterial activity against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, attributed to their synergistic properties. The results indicate that CNTs based bimetallic selenides (MnNiSe@CNTs) are promising multifunctional materials for efficient photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants and biomedical applications, including antibacterial and antifungal activities.
