The knee joint is a major synovial hinge joint that plays a vital role in weight bearing, locomotion, and overall functional mobility, enabling activities such as walking, running, and jumping. It is composed of intricate anatomical structures, including ligaments, tendons, and cartilage, and its structural integrity is essential for preserving independence and quality of life. Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture is one of the most common orthopedic injuries, especially among individuals participating in high-impact sports such as football, basketball, and skiing. The global incidence is approximately 1 in 3,500 individuals per year, with a higher prevalence among young adults aged 15–45 years, and a greater susceptibility in females due to anatomical and hormonal influences. Conventional management, particularly ACL reconstruction, demonstrates an 85–95% success rate in restoring knee stability. Nevertheless, complete recovery generally requires 6– 12 months of structured rehabilitation, while return to sports often takes 9–12 months. Surgical treatment is also associated with potential complications, including infection, graft failure, joint stiffness, persistent pain, early onset osteoarthritis, extended recovery time and high financial burden. In Ayurveda, ACL injury is comparable to Snayugata Vata, characterized by vitiation of Vata Dosha presenting with Stambha, Kampa, Shoola, and Aakshep. This case study evaluates the therapeutic efficacy of selected Panchakarma procedures—Janu Dhara, Patra Pinda Sweda, Viddha Karma, and Upanaha Sweda. After two months of treatment, the patient demonstrated marked symptomatic improvement along with repair of the ACL tear.
