ABSTRACT This editorial examines how recent federal education policy changes under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act may affect advanced practice nursing. Although written during the public comment period, it highlights how administrative policy language can disproportionately affect professions requiring graduate education for licensure. The editorial argues that access to advanced nursing education is essential to workforce sustainability, public protection, and patient access to care and emphasizes the ongoing responsibility of nurse practitioners to engage in policy advocacy beyond the rulemaking process.
