This article presents interlinear glossed texts in Shinekhen Buryat, which is a Mongolic language spoken by the Shinekhen Buryat people living around the Shinekhen River Basin in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, People’s Republic of China. The text presented herein is from the folktale “Joobuudee,” which was narrated by Ms. Dugarmaa, a Buryat woman (born in 1933). This folktale is about a Buddhist monk who was on a pilgrimage to Lhasa. During his pilgrimage, he encounters a monster named Joobuudee and journeys alongside it. The narrative portrays both this journey and the events that follow upon his arrival in Lhasa. The Shinekhen Buryats practice Buddhism, and the story is thematically grounded in Buddhist motifs.
