Six Sigma is a data-driven methodology that is commonly used in large-scale companies for process optimization and quality improvement. However, a number of organizational, financial, and technical obstacles continue to limit its application in small foundries. The main obstacles small foundries encounter while implementing Six Sigma techniques are examined in this research. Critical obstacles include a lack of management commitment, limited financial resources, resistance to change, and inadequate technical skills are identified by the research based on a review of the literature and SME-focused studies. Additionally, the paper suggests tactical ways to get around these obstacles such that Six Sigma can be successfully applied in small foundry settings.
