A Rare Case of Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in the Male Breast: Clinical Presentation and Histopathological Evaluation

ABSTRACT Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the male breast is an exceptionally rare neoplasm with a distinct clinical behavior. We report a case of a 40‐year‐old man who presented with ACC of the right breast. The patient was initially treated with surgical excision; however, a local recurrence was identified just 4 months postoperatively. This rapid recurrence underscores the aggressive potential of ACC in this unique demographic. The case highlights the critical importance of rigorous postoperative surveillance and a more extensive consideration of adjuvant therapies to mitigate recurrence risk. Further research is essential to establish optimal management protocols for this rare disease.
