A crucial part of the system for processing and distributing food is food packaging. From production to consumption, it acts as a shield to guarantee food safety, quality, and stability (Fellows, 2017; Robertson, 2013). Packaging acts as a shield against environmental elements like light, moisture, oxygen, dust, microbes, and physical harm.Food insecurity and financial losses result when food products are not properly packaged, making them extremely susceptible to contamination, deterioration of nutrients, and spoiling (FAO, 2019). As a result, packaging is essential for preserving foods' nutritional value and sensory appeal in addition to their preservation.
