Abstract

본 논문은 국내 이주민의 유입과 관련해서 기독교(천주교와 개신교)의 다문화 정책을 살펴보고자 한다. 현재 천주교와 개신교의 다문화 정책은 ‘이주사목’과 ‘이주민 선교’라는 명칭으로 시행되고 있는데, 본 논문은 기독교의 다문화 사역에 대한 최신 정보를 제공하고자 신문과 교계 홈페이지를 활용하였다. 천주교의 경우 중앙집권적인 제도적 특성을 고려하여 서울대교구와 대구대교구를 중심으로 전개되는 이주사목 활동을 살펴볼 것이며, 개신교의 경우에는 많은 교파 중에서 선별하여 교단총회의 정책을 중심으로 이주민 선교와 관련된 제도적 논의를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 실제적인 이주민 선교는 지역교회를 통해 이뤄지기 때문에 지역교회의 사례를 특징별로 구분하여 소개한다. 이후 천주교와 개신교의 이주민 정책에 나타난 특징과 구조적 차이점을 비교해 보고, 기독교의 다문화 정책에 대해 간략하게 제언한다.
