Traditional conflict reporting counts deaths only after they occur. This retrospective, Newtonian approach ignores causal chains already in motion and cannot account for the layering of the universe—where past, present, and future fatalities exist as a single quantum wave function. Drawing on a validated dose‑response model (Nature Food, 2023) and current market data (Brent crude >100/bbl, Strait of Hormuz effectively closed, fertiliser prices increase in import‑dependent regions), I calculate that a minimum of 420, 000 future excess deaths are now locked in over the next 12 months. Framing past, present, and future deaths as a quantum wave function shows that media and diplomatic focus on ~3, 600 direct conflict deaths creates a false decoherence–erasing the certainty of future mass mortality. I introduce an economic valuation of lives saved and measurement of this conflict as a case study to showcase the macro scale of quantum physics and call for a new category of “confirmed future casualties”, to trigger automatic de‑escalation, using data ranges. As Newtonian gravity explained falling apples but not the quantum fabric of reality, so too must we expand our definitions, simplify and refine science at the same time, that will be interdisciplinary with traditional science and quantum biology, physics and engineering —to observe the macro‑scale wave functions of crisis and development. Every day of delay collapses 1 more of the casualty wave function into irreversible loss. “The universe does not wait for our permission to layer its consequences; we either measure the wave function or become its collapsed state. ” — (inspired by Wheeler, 1990)
