This paper proposes that human consciousness operates as a polarity system: mono-dimensional (ego mind, rational, masculine) and poly-dimensional (heart mind, intuitive, feminine). Western psychology has confined itself to investigating only the mono layer — the bounded ego — while systematically excluding the energetic, somatic, collective, and spiritual dimensions where the majority of consciousness operates. Drawing on the Vedic Pancakosa framework, polyvagal theory, interoception research, and cardiac neuroscience, the paper maps how mono consciousness (linear, brain-centered, cortisol-driven) and poly consciousness (multi-dimensional, heart-centered, oxytocin-mediated) represent two distinct neurobiological operating systems. Eight testable hypotheses are proposed, including predictions that breathwork outperforms cognitive restructuring for anxiety, that multi-Kosha interventions outperform CBT at six-month follow-up, and that somatic release reduces inflammatory biomarkers. The paper bridges ancient contemplative science with contemporary psychophysiology to argue that psychology's current paradigm addresses approximately forty percent of the total system.
