On September 26—27, 2025, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Integration of New Subjects of the Russian Federation into the State-Legal Space of Russia: Experience, Achievements, Prospects” was held in Simferopol and Sevastopol. The Conference was organized by the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, including its Sevastopol branch, and was held jointly with the Crimean branch of the V. M. Lebedev Russian State University of Justice and Sevastopol State University. The conference, which was attended by more than a hundred participants representing Russian government agencies, public associations, and leading educational and scientific centers of the Russian Federation, became a discussion platform for discussing, within the framework of scientific and practical interaction, the urgent problems of integrating new entities into the Russian state legal space and developing balanced and constructive solutions to overcome them. The Conference paid special attention to the interdisciplinary nature of the discussion. Lawyers, historians, economists, political scientists and experts in the field of public administration participated in the discussions, during which they were able to exchange views on many theoretical and practical issues of integrating new entities into the state legal space of the Russian Federation. The participants noted the importance of further reflection on the issues discussed at the Conference and expressed the hope that this event would be held on a regular basis.
