Usage of Core Journals in the Field of Commerce: A Study of Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi

AbstractThe present research investigated the usage of core journals in the field of commerce by doctoral research scholars of the Delhi School of Economics (DSE), University of Delhi, during 2007–2016. The tremendous increase of journals and the need to maintain a reasonable journal collection make it necessary for the librarians and information scientists to understand and prepare the ranked list of journals. The research is based on 6,719 journal citations appended at the end of theses. The main purpose of this research is to construct a ranked list of core journals in the field of commerce.
