Impact of Road Geometry and Temporal Factors on the Number of Vehicles in Traffic Accidents: A GIS-Based Study (Accepted at ISAG 2026)

This study investigates the impact of road geometry and temporal factors on the number of vehicles involved in traffic accidents using GIS-based analysis. The research focuses on identifying spatial and temporal patterns influencing accident severity, with particular attention to road characteristics and time-related variables. Statistical and spatial analysis methods are applied to accident data to evaluate their combined effect. The results highlight key factors contributing to multi-vehicle accidents and provide insights for improving traffic safety and infrastructure planning.
