Healthcare, biotechnology, and public health innovations play a crucial role in strengthening health systems and improving population well-being. In recent years, rapid technological advancements such as digital health platforms, biotechnology-based diagnostics, telemedicine, and data-driven public health interventions have transformed healthcare delivery. However, the effectiveness of these innovations largely depends on public awareness, acceptance, and informed utilization, particularly among young adults who represent future healthcare consumers and decision-makers. The present study aims to examine the level of awareness and perception of healthcare, biotechnology, and public health innovations among undergraduate students in Telangana State. A descriptive survey method was adopted, and data were collected from a sample of 600 undergraduate students drawn equally from Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts. The sample consisted of 300 male and 300 female students, with representation from rural and urban backgrounds. A structured questionnaire was used to assess students’ awareness, attitudes, and perceived significance of healthcare innovations. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were employed to analyze the data. The findings revealed moderate to high levels of awareness among undergraduate students, with significant differences observed based on gender and locality. Urban students demonstrated higher awareness levels compared to their rural counterparts. The study highlights the importance of integrating healthcare innovation literacy into higher education curricula to enhance informed decision-making and public health preparedness. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and healthcare planners in designing effective awareness and capacity-building programs.
