Abstract

The rise of sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, particularly those capable of generating hyper-realistic synthetic media—commonly known as "deepfakes"—represents a profound technological disruption. While generative AI offers immense potential for creative efficiency and reduced production costs in the film and photography sectors, it simultaneously introduces critical ethical and socio-economic risks. The ability to seamlessly manipulate or fabricate audio-visual content without detection threatens the fundamental concepts of authenticity, trust, and creative authorship.
