Aim To investigate the impact of the 2024 Lebanese–Israeli war on ophthalmology practice in Lebanon, focusing on patient care, resource availability, and the psychological and economic well-being of ophthalmologists. Patients and Methods This observational cross-sectional study was conducted using an electronic survey distributed via Google Forms to 34 attending Lebanese ophthalmologists. The questionnaire assessed changes in clinical practice, availability of resources, staffing, and the psychological and economic effects of the conflict. Results The study revealed significant staffing shortages, psychological distress, and economic concerns among ophthalmologists, with a proportion of respondents considering emigration. Despite these challenges, adaptive strategies were implemented, including clinic relocation, the use of telemedicine, and reliance on portable diagnostic tools. Conclusion The 2024 Lebanese–Israeli war has had a substantial impact on ophthalmology practice in Lebanon, affecting both service delivery and physician well-being. Strengthening emergency preparedness, securing medical supply chains, and providing mental health support for ophthalmologists are essential measures to maintain eye care services in conflict settings.
