Using an extensive new source base, the main directions of transformation of the agricultural sector of the Far Eastern region in the 1930s were analyzed. It was revealed that the forced process of uniting agricultural producers was carried out on the regulatory framework of the Soviet system. The task of ensuring food security was solved by administrative and command methods by regulating not only taxation, financing and lending, but also land use processes according to socio-economic criteria, transforming the parameters of agricultural production in the Far East of the USSR. Institutional and investment decisions took into account intersectoral and interregional ties of spatial location of production on the principles of centralized management, unity and specialization of territorial entities. It was concluded that cooperation between farmers and processing enterprises, procurement, transport, supply and trade structures was not formed, there were no close production ties between agricultural areas and industrial centers. The increase in agricultural products did not meet the needs of the increased population and military structures in the Far East of the USSR.
