Rythu means “farmer” in Telugu Bazaar comes from the Persian word bazaar, meaning “market”. The key idea behind Rythu Bazaars is to provide a platform for small and marginal farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers, eliminating or reducing middlemen who take a cut. This helps farmers get better remuneration and helps consumers get fresh produce at lower prices. Rythu Bazaar is a farmer’s market in Telangana. This study focuses mainly on understand the background of Rythu Bazaar in Telangana and examine the consumers’ attitude and perceptions with regards functioning of Rythu Bazaar in Miryalaguda. The entire study has been conducted both primary and secondary source data/information. It results that the A Rythu Bazaar in Miryalaguda often referred to as the "Rice Bowl of Telangana" is essential to bridge the gap between local vegetable farmers and the growing urban population, ensuring fair trade and fresh produce.
