Central Fracture Dislocation of Hip With Ipsilateral Femoral Neck Fracture: A Case Report.

Central fracture dislocation of the hip with associated ipsilateral femoral neck fracture is exceedingly rare and presents a formidable management challenge. CASE: A 31-year-old woman sustained this fracture with medial displacement of the femoral head into the pelvic cavity after a high-energy road traffic accident. Within 6 hours, surgical reduction of the femoral head and internal fixation of both femoral neck and acetabulum were performed using a dynamic hip screw and a plate, respectively. At 1 year, the patient demonstrated good functional recovery without avascular necrosis. CONCLUSION: This case highlights the importance of early fixation in preserving femoral head viability in combined acetabular and femoral neck injuries.
