This paper analyzes the manufacturing process of Ti + Ni layered composites. Despite considerable interest in the production of this type of material, the literature often lacks comprehensive studies covering the entire manufacturing process. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of subsequent technological processes on the strength and quality of joints formed in flat layered composites. Studies were conducted for the joining of layered composites using explosive welding and for a plastic forming process involving the rolling of composite sheets heated to various temperatures. The study assessed the quality and durability of the joint area of Ti + Ni layered composites. The occurrence of intermetallic phases formed during the joining of Ti and Ni materials was analyzed. Shear strength measurements of the joint area were performed both after the joining process and after the rolling process. Based on the conducted research, it was concluded that the manufacturing processes, both the joining of thin composite sheets and the subsequent rolling, have a significant impact on the quality and durability of Ti + Ni layered composite joints. Based on the research results presented in the paper, it was found that the most advantageous method is to carry out the Ti + Ni production process for joining layers by explosive welding and rolling for T=600 C (the shear strength of the joint varies depending on the reduction in the range of 2–6%).
