This article presents the terminological foundation of the concept “Seven Forms of Matter” (7FM) — a hierarchical model of emergent levels of reality. Building on the author’s prior terminological work to cleanse the concepts of “information” and “hole” of physicist connotations, a strict distinction between levels is proposed. Form 1 (physical matter) is described through configurations, fields, and quantum states, without recourse to the concept of information. Instead of “information” in the physical context, the terms “configuration” (the physical state of a system) and “observer’s knowledge” (an epistemic category) are used. The term “pseudosubstance” is rejected as metaphysical speculation. Form 2 (biological matter) is introduced as the level where information in its proper sense first appears: genetic code, signals, replication, meaning. This distinguishes biological information from physical configuration. The term “hole” is freed from its current inadequate use (in “black hole”) and reserved for hypothetical transition objects between forms or between branes — a “hole into another dimension”, an “inter‑brane hole”, a “fluctuation breakthrough”. A collapsar (formerly “black hole”) is defined as a trap, not a hole. This article is not a full exposition of the model, but a terminological foundation for subsequent works on 7FM, the interference vacuum, civilisatiology, and hierarchology. Keywords: Seven Forms of Matter, 7FM, information, configuration, collapsar, hole.
